Rebuilding After Hurricane Helene

Dear Pirates, Adventurers and our Sunshine Scenic Tours Family,

As many of you know, Hurricane Helene devastated the Gulf Coast, from Florida to Georgia and everywhere in between, leaving significant damage in its wake. Our beloved dock and gift shop at John’s Pass were not spared. We’re heartbroken to share that the storm has affected our operations, but we are determined to rebuild and come back stronger.

The dock, which has been a gateway for countless adventures aboard the Pirate Ship Royal Conquest, Dolphin Quest and Shark Boat, was severely damaged. Additionally, our gift shop needs extensive repairs before we can reopen to the public.

We are working with local contractors to assess and rebuild the dock, while also restoring the gift shop. Our goal is to have both fully operational in the coming months, but a timeline is hard to establish at the moment. The process will take time and resources, but we are dedicated to ensuring Sunshine Scenic Tours is back better than ever.

In the coming days, we will be introducing you to Penny the Pirate Pup – the star of our upcoming children's book set aboard the Royal Conquest. Due out in November, the book introduces Boca Ciega Bay and the pirate life we've grown accustomed to. By purchasing a copy, you can directly support our rebuild efforts – and get a book your family will treasure forever.
